Copyright and Licensing Statement
Copyright Policy
IJTMH is an open-access journal. Upon acceptance of an article for publication, authors are required to complete and sign an Author Copyright Transfer and Publishing Agreement. By submitting a manuscript to IJTMH, authors confirm that:
- The manuscript is their original work.
- The manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- All co-authors have read and approved the manuscript and consent to its submission.
- They have obtained all necessary permissions to reproduce any third-party material included in the manuscript (e.g., figures, tables, or data).
- The publication of the manuscript does not infringe any existing copyright or other intellectual property rights.
Authors retain copyright over their work. By publishing in IJTMH, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide licence to publish, reproduce, distribute, transmit, and make the work publicly accessible in all media and formats, for the full duration of copyright.
Open Access and Licensing
All articles published in IJTMH are made freely available online immediately upon publication, at no cost to the reader or their institution. IJTMH publishes under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).
|
CC BY 4.0 Licence: Users are free to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially), provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the licence is provided, and any changes are indicated. |
The full licence text is available at: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
Author Rights
Under the CC BY 4.0 licence, authors retain the following rights in respect of their published article:
- To reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and publicly perform the article.
- To prepare derivative works of the article.
- To make the article available in institutional or personal repositories (pre-print, post-print, or publisher's PDF) at any time, without embargo, provided that the original source and the assigned Digital Object Identifier (DOI) are cited.
- To use figures, tables, and other material from the article in future works without requesting permission from IJTMH, provided the original source is acknowledged.
- To use the article for teaching, training, and presentation purposes.
Third-Party Material
Where an article contains material (figures, tables, photographs, or other content) for which the author does not hold copyright, the author is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions from the copyright holder(s) to publish the material in IJTMH under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Any permissions obtained must be documented and made available to the editorial office upon request. Third-party materials that cannot be licensed under CC BY 4.0 must be clearly indicated, and the applicable licence terms must be specified in the figure/table caption.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
IJTMH operates under an Open Access publishing model. To support the costs of publication, peer review management, production, and permanent archiving, authors may be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of their manuscript. Current APC rates are detailed on the journal's website. Waivers or discounts may be available for authors from low-income countries or in cases of demonstrated financial hardship; such requests should be submitted to the editorial office prior to submission.
Preprints
IJTMH welcomes submissions that have previously been posted as preprints (e.g., on SSRN, arXiv, ResearchGate, or institutional repositories). Authors must disclose the existence of a preprint in their cover letter and, if applicable, include the preprint DOI. The submission of a preprint does not affect the review process or editorial decisions. Following publication in IJTMH, authors are encouraged to update their preprint record with the journal's DOI and a link to the published version.

- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) – the preservation network operated by the Public Knowledge Project.
All published articles are assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure persistent, stable online access.
